      Harrison Candelario has been a Recording Academy member since 2024, and recently released his debut record “Misunderstood.”

 

     Stemming from the gut-wrenching feeling that comes after the failure of a friendship due to deceit, “Misunderstood,” emulates the raw emotion one may feel via word painting; I hope that listeners can relate to the record’s message, as my goal as an artist is to cultivate a sense of unity via sharing authentic, vulnerable music that allows listeners to confide in knowing that they are not alone in their experience.

 

         "Misunderstood" was also recorded 100% live, meaning that the work does not incorporate any electronic or MIDI instruments. There is also minimal vocal compression on the lead vocals, emphasizing the transparency and rawness of "Misunderstood."
